Objectives of the nutrition program:
- Improve the nutritional status of the most vulnerable population groups: infants, preschoolers, school children, pregnant women and the general population of the Pueblo Viejo Tecpán Village of the most needy social groups.
- Promote good eating habits through education
- Promote the consumption of food products of high nutritional value that are produced or could be produced in the area.
- Instill in the population the need to carry out regular medical examinations for children and pregnant women.
- Raise awareness in the community about the nutritional problems of mothers and children, and encourage community participation in solving these problems
Measurements:
- The measurements will be made through the electronic records that will be kept in the nutrition program, making an analysis of the results regularly with the follow-up of each one of the patients.
Nutritionist hours:
- 07:00-13:00 pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the clinic.
- 07:00-13:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday in schools.
Functions:
The functions of the nutritionist will include 3 aspects;
- Atention to pacients
- School visits and talks
- Planning, promotion and development of activities related to nutrition for specific groups.
Specs:
- Patient care; Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (With the aim of evaluating 10 first-admission patients with a maximum time of 30 minutes and 3 follow-up patients with a maximum time of 20 minutes.
- School visits: will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-12:30 pm. The nutritionist will visit a different school each of those days of the week giving the same content and follow-up in both schools, with the aim of expanding coverage. In case of evidencing any nutritional deficiency, you can refer the patient for evaluation by doctors to create a patient file and later evaluation by a nutritionist.
- Development of programs with specific groups and planning of activities; The nutritionist will spend 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday planning, organizing, scheduling, reporting on different informative activities for both schoolchildren and patients (talks according to school grades, school personnel, teacher, diabetic , hypertensive, mothers, etc.)
